Programming, Warranty and Why we do this

To have your radio programmed with Civil Air Patrol channels you must contact me by phone or email with your CAP ID. The standard programming contains what I call the Universal Plug. All CAP repeaters are include along with its simplex channels. CAP GUARD is on scan (Or you can select all of the Zone 1 channels)

Liason channels are in the code plug to communicate with other agencies (Assuming they are NIFOG VHF channels) all radios are set up to do front panel programming. There are also channels programmed *Such as the ham radio voice link for the International Space Station and some typical Ham Radio channels. *See CAP Regs for rules on using amateur radio on CAP missions.  Special requests for programming are currently done at no charge but extensive changes may not be feasable.  Customers should contact [email protected] to obtain access to our cloud account which contains our Repeater Directory which covers all CAP wings. *Note it does not include any restricted information such as frequency, tones (Nac or CTCSS) so it should be ok to distribute. That said, we ask that it not be posted publicly. There are other files of interest such as the design for a replacement LPER antenna, some insturctions for certain equipment, schematics, manuals and so on.

ZERO ANXIETY WARRANTY.  It is my mission to provide the best possible (And NTIA Compliant) equipment for my fellow CAP members. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase in any way you will be refunded, or the equipment replaced (Assuming an Equivilant is in stock) or repaired. Your choice! This warranty lasts as long as you think it is reasonable. The only exception to this are radios used underwater, driven over or dropped from great height (Such as from an aircraft)  I admit this warranty is perhapes more for my own anxiety that you will be on a mission and have a malfunctioning piece of equipment.

While this does make some money for buying more equipment to manufacture  or refurbish it sometimes also pays a few unrelated bills. Thus a potential for conflict of interest exists. While I am a long time member Refurbatron is NOT representing Civil Air Patrol or its Parent the Air Force.

Refurbatron is motivated by myself as a way to help make it possible for CAP to have continued success in Search and Rescue, Disaster Relief and all of its other missions. May you missions result in Finds and Saves! Semper Vi!
